Some of the regional winners of 2022

Through this year's contest, World Press Photo awards photojournalism and documentary photography projects from all over the world in a representative, balanced and context-sensitive manner. To do just that, it was decided to switch to a regional approach to offer a more global and representative perspective from six regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central America, South America and Southeast Asia and Oceania.
