Luc Cortebeeck was for many years the President of the ACV-CSC, the most representative trade union confederation in Belgium. He was also strongly committed to creation and activities of the International Trade Union Confederation. He is known as a strong negotiator and a bridge builder. He not only left his mark on social dialogue in Belgium, but also weighed in on labour issues around the world through his role at the ILO.
